How long is a typical comedy hypnosis show?

Most comedy hypnotist shows run 60 to 90 minutes depending on the event. Richard tailors length to your program &mdash; a 45-minute opener for a corporate awards night, a full 90-minute theatre headline, or a two-set format for cruise ships and fairs. Setup is 45 minutes and he travels with a complete technical rider.

What is the difference between a comedy hypnotist and a clinical hypnotherapist?

Accepted Answer

Richard Barker is a comedy stage hypnotist and live entertainer &mdash; his shows are designed for laughs, memorable moments and safe audience participation at corporate, college and public events. He is not a clinical hypnotherapist, and his stage show is not therapy. Clients book Richard for entertainment, not medical treatment.

How many volunteers do you need onstage?

Richard typically brings 10 to 20 audience volunteers onstage, selected from the crowd in the first few minutes of the show. Volunteering is always completely voluntary and no one is ever embarrassed &mdash; the comedy comes from the situations Richard creates, never at a volunteer's expense.
