Marc Savard is the long-running Strip option. His official site describes a 75-minute unscripted show, more than 15 years of headlining and six “Best of Las Vegas” wins. Vegas.com reviewers rate it 4.5 from 317 reviews, and one points out that a small midweek crowd still filled the stage with volunteers.
Hypnosis Unleashed starring Kevin Lepine
Kevin Lepine plays the Four Queens on Fremont Street, Tuesday to Saturday at 9 p.m., according to the show’s Facebook page. VegasFoodAndFun says the humor gets adult at times, depending on the crowd. That makes it a better pick for bachelor and bachelorette groups than for families. Viator shows 428 reviews for it.
Steve Falcon’s Comedy Hypnosis Hour
The newest listing, with two shows a night at MGM Grand’s Underground Theater. It’s too new to have many reviews on Vegas.com yet, so watch some recent video to get a feel for it.
The Mentalist and Paranormal
Both show up in the “hypnosis” category, but they’re mind reading shows. Nobody goes into a trance. Paranormal has a 4.9 rating from 1,670 Vegas.com reviews and plays at 4:00 p.m., which makes it the easiest one to fit around dinner.
What about Hyprov?
Hyprov pairs hypnotist Asad Mecci with improv legend Colin Mochrie. It opened a residency at Harrah’s in June 2023, according to Wikipedia. It isn’t in Vegas.com’s current listings, and the show now tours theaters, so check hyprov.com for a Vegas date before you plan around it.

People differ in how easily they respond. Stanford Medicine research puts about 10% of people in the highly hypnotizable group. So a hypnotist invites more volunteers than he needs and quietly sends some back to their seats in the first few minutes. The people left on stage are the ones who respond best. That’s why it looks so dramatic from your seat.
How do you get picked to be hypnotized on stage?
Volunteer fast, and mean it. Vegas.com’s advice is to arrive early, sit near the front and tell staff you want to take part. After 6,000+ shows of my own, I’d add four things:
- Go easy on the drinks beforehand. Alcohol wrecks concentration, and most hypnotists send visibly drunk volunteers straight back.
- Go up with an open mind. If you’re there to “test” the hypnotist, you’ll be back in your seat pretty quickly.
- Follow the early instructions exactly. The first five minutes decide who stays.
- Wear something you can move in. Trust me on this one.
Is it safe, and will you be embarrassed?
A professional show is safe, and you stay in control the whole time. You hear everything, you can open your eyes whenever you like, and you won’t do anything that goes against your values. Marc Savard’s site says he only hypnotizes people who volunteer and nobody is pulled from the crowd. Content still varies from show to show. If crude humor isn’t your thing, pick an all-ages show over a late one.
